Our window cleaning process starts with a site assessment. We walk the property, count the panes, assess the accessibility, and identify any problem areas. For US-78 corridor properties, we check for construction dust and evaluate the newer glass. For downtown properties, we inspect the older glass for existing scratches. For lake-proximate properties, we note the moisture conditions. For new construction, we check for construction debris on the glass. We then provide a quote based on the scope of work.
On the day of service, our crew arrives with the equipment and cleaning solutions needed for your building. For ground-floor windows, we use traditional squeegee methods. For upper-floor windows, we use water-fed pole systems with deionized water. Most Wylie buildings are low-rise, so squeegee and pole methods handle most properties.
For properties near active construction, we use cleaning solutions that are formulated to cut through construction dust. The fine dust from construction sites is different from standard clay dust, and it may require stronger solutions. We remove the construction dust and then squeegee the glass clean.
For downtown properties, the older glass requires extra care. We inspect each pane for existing scratches and damage before cleaning. We use professional-grade squeegees and strip washers with gentle pressure, and we are careful with the detailing on older frames. The downtown area has character, and we preserve the glass and frames with careful cleaning.
For the newer development, the water-fed pole system with deionized water is ideal for the large-format glass. The deionized water scrubs the glass and rinses spot-free, making it ideal for the modern glass on newer commercial buildings. We pay attention to the quality because the newer development has higher aesthetic standards.
For new construction, we use specialized scrapers to remove stucco, paint, and labels from the glass. We follow the scraping with standard squeegee cleaning. The scraping is done with professional-grade tools that do not scratch the glass when used properly. After post-construction cleaning, we transition the property to routine maintenance.
For lake-proximate properties, the moisture conditions may require different techniques. The humidity near the lakes can cause the glass to dry more slowly. The deionized water system handles the moisture conditions better than standard cleaning and leaves no spots.
After cleaning, we do a quality check with the property manager. For new construction, the quality check ensures all construction debris has been removed. For downtown properties, the quality check ensures the older glass has been cleaned without adding new scratches.
